The Chase 'disgusts' viewers who say episode should have been 'scrapped' over show first

The latest set of contestants on The Chase risked the wrath of viewers with their decisions.

They even left host Bradley Walsh unimpressed as they made history on the ITV show.

Rory, Anne, Keziah and Richie all appeared on Thursday's show hoping to walk away richer than they came.

They were all faced with taking on Mark 'The Beast' with three out of the four safely making it back to the final chase.

However, they all took the lower offer in what Bradley, 60, said was a The Chase first.

When Richie, who was last to face Mark, stepped up, Mark said: "Richie either way, whatever you do next will make television history."

He was offered £73,000 by the chaser but took the low offer of £1,000 instead.

"That's the first time that it's ever happened anywhere in the world, every team member going low, you'll be YouTube sensations," Mark said.

To which Bradley remarked: "I don't think this team is here to win money.

"I think they just want to beat The Beast."

And viewers weren't happy with the episode either.

"If you're late home and going to watch #TheChase on +1 don't f****ing bother," one fumed.

Another complained: "Today's episode should have been scrapped or given a title of '4 wimps go low'."

"I have never been so disgusted with an episode #TheChase," a third said.

Another added: "Four contestants taking the lower offer on the chase tonight is pure wrong'un behaviour."

"Am I the only one waiting for Ant and Dec to appear having got Bradley for a 3rd time #TheChase," a fifth asked.

In the end, the team played for £3,000 between them but The Beast caught them with just 12 seconds to spare and they walked away empty handed.
