The Chase ended on a massive high for two contestants after they managed to bag £80,000 in the final round against Paul Sinha.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show, but only Lyndsey and Jonny were left standing in the Final Chase.
Jonny impressed viewers after taking the higher offer of £73,000, and Lyndsey secured £7,000 in the cash builder.
Paul Sinha, also known as ‘The Sinnerman’, suffered a streak of huge mistakes in the final - with viewers saying he ‘bottled it’.
The couple outran the chaser after answering just 16 questions correctly.
They left with an incredible £40,000 each, but viewers were puzzled after the pair didn’t seem very enthusiastic.
Lyndsey and Jonny hugged after defeating the Chaser, and told Bradley that they planned to spend it on ‘something worthwhile’ and on a ‘good start for a house’.
One viewer said: “I'd be a bit more excited if I'd just won £40k.”
Another tweeted: “They’ve just won £80,000 on The Chase with two people and they don’t look bothered. I’d be doing cartwheels.”
A third said: “If I won £40,000 I would be throwing my wig, screaming, just acting a happy fool.. Jonny & Lyndsey...SMILE… The teammates are crying in the back.”
