The Chase contestant sends Twitter into meltdown leaving viewers floored

The Chase viewers were left floored this evening as a contestant sent Twitter into meltdown.

During the latest instalment (October 5) of the hit ITV quiz show contestant Rachel left fans completely stunned.

After admitting to host Bradley Walsh she enjoys playing sport and travelling the world, - which you can watch in the video above - distracted viewers took to social media to gush over the gorgeous 'Miss World' player.

The Exeter University student's infectious smile and sweet personality all had viewers saying the same thing, the Daily Star reports.

Rachel left The Chase viewers floored (ITV)

Appearing alongside former ski racer Gary from Canada, interior design enthusiast Mark and ballroom dancing lover Tara, Rachel went up against Chaser Paul Sinha to try and take home a huge cash prize.

Despite banking an impressive £4,000 during the cash builder round, unfortunately Rachel's dreams were dashed as she failed to make it through to the final chase.

That didn't stop The Chase viewers flocking to social media to praise the stunning contestant.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Rachel is on the wrong show. Surely it should be Miss World?"

Another added: "Totally in love with Rachel."

Other viewers made it clear they weren't interested in watching the rest of the programme after Rachel was caught by the chaser.

"Ahh annoying Rachel has been caught," one viewer gushed.

While another continued: "Don't care now Rachel has gone."

A third added: "The Chase's Rachel has gone. Nooooo!"

With both Rachel and Mark getting caught only Tara and Gary got through to the final chase.

Unfortunately for the duo, they only managed to obtain 14 steps in the final chase.

Paul Sinnerman, who was on excellent form, caught the pair of hopefuls with a whopping 50 seconds to spare.

The Chase continues tomorrow 5pm on ITV
