The Chase contestant's 'hidden' past unveiled as fans recognise him

A contestant on The Chase today was instantly recognised by viewers who revealed his secret past on TV.

Kelly, Alex, Beth and Andrew were all taking on The Sinnerman today in the hope of winning thousands of pounds.

Up first was Kelly, who secured an incredible £7000.

Alex did even better, winning £9000 in the cash builder, only fo r Paul Sinha to eliminate him in the head to head.

Despite securing £7000, Beth opted for the low offer of £2000 to guarantee her place in the final.

The last contestant, Andrew, also added to the prize pot, scoring an extra £8000 for the team.

But fans immediately recognised Andrew from a different television show.

Kyle tweeted: "Why the hell does Andrew look extremely familiar?!"

Molly wrote: "I’m sure I’ve seen him before!"

Another commented: "I feel like he could’ve been on another quiz show maybe?"

Other viewers were able to identify Andrew from BBC's Only Connect recently.

One tweeted: "Andrew has been on Only Connect, he should be a good player."

Andrew said: "Only Connect a few weeks back I think."

And Matthew wrote: "Andrew on #TheChase now was on Only Connect the other week, how do they get on all these shows??!"
