The Chase contestant leaves Bradley Walsh gobsmacked after “marching off” set

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left flabbergasted after a contestant appeared to march off the set.

Four new gamers were welcomed to the show, including Thora, an elderly woman who viewers called the "most adorable" contestant.

Thora told Bradley how she planned to spend her winnings on a spa day before securing £4,000 in the cash builder.

In one question about what gas the UK suffered a shortage from, she left viewers in stitches after answering "gassy gas".

Taking on ‘The Vixen’ Jenny Ryan, Thora then went for the lower offer of £1,000.

But the contestant left Bradley gobsmacked after she got through the final, appearing to go "marching off" towards her teammates.

Thora shouted “I can’t believe it!” before storming away from the presenter.

Realising her error, she then walked back to the host and thanked him for his help.

Viewers were left in hysterics over the blunder, with many taking to Twitter.

One said: “Thora is such a formidable woman, having me laughing so hard with her abrupt walk back to the team. Ought to have really done the £4000, though.”

Another wrote: “Thora is an absolute sweetheart and I will take no slander about her taking the lower offer!”

A third said: “In a break in tradition I forgive Thora for taking the low offer. Just cos she is a reet larff.”

"Ha ha Thora marching off," tweeted another viewer.
