The Chase contestant floors fans as they spot celebrity lookalike

Fans of The Chase were floored as they spotted a contestant's celebrity lookalike on today's show.

Christopher was originally from the West Midlands but the former cruise ship entertainer has since settled down on Merseyside.

The 36-year-old science teacher was up in seat four - and he told Bradley Walsh his dreams to open an LGBTQ+ inclusive café if he were to win a cash prize on the ITV show.

He said: "You should come and open it, Brad.

"I've got loads of ideas, but it's years away. I've got to win some money first."

Christopher put in an incredibly impressive performance as he built up £4,000 in the cash-builder before he navigated his way past Mark Labbett in the head-to-head.

However, throughout his performance fans took to Twitter to say how he looked just like TV personality James Corden.

Katherine said: "Seat 4 - James Corden lookalike."

Catherine added: "This dude on #TheChase is the double of James Corden."

Millie posted: "James Corden making a guest appearance on #TheChase tonight."

Jason commented: "James Corden could make a good living as a Christopher lookalike."

Christopher was joined on today's show by Emma, Dhiren and Julie - and they proved to make a formidable team as they all progressed past Mark Labbett to compete for a combined £19,000.

The team built up 15 steps in the Final Chase, but they found The Beast in imperious form and he caught them with 50 seconds remaining.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVHub
