The Chase contestant branded a 'disgrace' by viewers after £10,000 win

A contestant on The Chase caused outrage last night, even though the team took home the winnings.

Deanne, a trainee hairdresser and nail technician, chose to take the lower offer after her teammates had won an impressive £10,000.

Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha offered her minus £1,000, which she happily accepted for the chance to get a share in Janice and Adam's hard-earned cash.

But when it came to the final chase she barely answered any questions, letting her teammates do most of the hard work.

Her finger hardly hit her buzzer as the other two answered most questions without her.

Naturally, this didn't go down well on Twitter .

One person tweeted: "Takes money away from the pot and now wants to take her share. F****** disgusting and disgraceful. Has she no shame or any shred of decency?"

"Is Deanne’s buzzer working?" another questioned.

A third said: "Deanne didn't deserve a penny. Nothing annoys me more than people who go low."

"Deanne has mugged them all off there," another agreed.

It wan easy win for the team as Paul got six questions wrong.

The Chaser tried to win it back at the end but fell short by two points.

They all won more than £3,000 each (ITV)

This meant that they all won more than £3,000 each, though some arguably deserved it more than others.

It's not just contestants causing outrage amongst viewers, as Shaun Wallace was blasted last month after getting a question wrong - but got away with it on a technicality .

*The Chase is on ITV1, weekdays from 5pm
