The charming clifftop holiday let that's got to be one of the most romantic places to stay in Wales

With sweeping views of a sandy beach below, this snug railway carriage has got to be one of the most romantic places to stay in Wales.

This stylish conversion of an Edwardian railway carriage allows for 180-degree sea views over Cardigan Bay, and you may even be able to spot bottlenose dolphins and seals from the deck in Aberporth.

The carriage is right by Aberporth's sandy beach, the Ceredigion Coast Path and local pubs, shops and places to eat.

Tresaith, Llangrannog, Cwmtydu, New Quay, Cardigan and Aberaeron are all close by, as are the two famous National Trust beaches of Mwnt and Penbryn as well as other hidden bays and beaches.

On a clear day, you can see all the way to Snowdon and North Wales.

This is a great spot for wildlife and bird watching, with many sea birds including oystercatchers, gannets, cormorants and kittiwakes, as well as kestrels and red kites to be seen.

It sleeps two, and the bedroom has a kingsize bed, positioned to enjoy views over the sea, as well as a freestanding bath.

The open-plan kitchen and living room is the main part of the carriage and has French doors opening out onto the private sundeck, which has a table and seating to allow you to enjoy alfresco dining.

There's also a cosy, wood-burning stove to cook on. One basket of logs is supplied and more are available to buy locally.

The carriage has a range of amenities for guests including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washer and dryer, dishwasher, WIFI and Sky TV including Sky Cinema.

At the back of the carriage, there is a small enclosed orchard garden with a parking space on a private drive for one car - and a boat.
