Here’s the fourth track in our series of live performances by the Charlatans, in association with Muzu.tv. Previous instalments have featured tracks from their most recent album Modern Nature (Talking in Tones, Come Home Baby and So Oh), but this latest song is dusted off from the archive. According to frontman Tim Burgess, the 1995 single Just When You’re Thinking Things Over plays a fundamental part in their current live set up.
“I think Just When You’re Thinking Things Over is going to be really valuable in the live set and the idea is we’re going to play for two hours, that’s the only rule,” says Burgess. “Just When You’re Thinking Things Over to me is not The Only One I Know, it’s not One To Another, but it’s somewhere in-between that is all that as well. To be honest, it’s a great opener because the intro can go on for ages until we get the groove right.”
