The Chargers found a new, stunning way to blow a game in the final seconds

The Los Angeles Chargers have become known for blowing games in wild fashion. It’s seemingly been their thing for many, many years.

Usually it involves a brutal Philip Rivers INT in the final minutes. Or a missed field goal in the final seconds. You know, typical endings for a franchise that has mastered the art of letting down its fans.

On Sunday in Denver the Chargers found a new way to blow a game and, well, wow was this a stunning/heartbreaking way for the Broncos to get the win at home.

The Chargers had just tied the game on a lengthy field goal with 14(!) seconds left. It felt like Denver, who had rookie QB Drew Lock making his first start, would just play for overtime.

But then Lock threw a deep pass that went incomplete, a flag for defensive PI was was thrown, and seconds later Brandon McManus booted a 53-yard FG to give the Broncos the 23-20 win.

OUCH.
