The chants aimed at Unai Emery from the Arsenal fans as boos ring around the Emirates

Alexandre Lacazette was Unai Emery's saviour on Saturday.

Although if you believe some Arsenal supporters on Twitter, Lacazette may have been the villain by scoring a 96th minute equaliser against the Saints.

Pressure is mounting every week on head coach Unai Emery, who has now not seen his team win in five Premier League matches.

What would have been the most galling thing for Gunners supporters to stomach on Saturday would have been that struggling Southampton, who started and finished the day just a point off the bottom of the table, dominated for much of the match at the Emirates.

And they had a whopping 21 shots on goal to boot.

Arsenal are in dire straits and huge sections of the fanbase have been calling for Emery's head for a number of weeks now.

Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham gave the Spaniard a vote of confidence prior to the international break, but the Gunners supporters are growing impatient.

January transfer window: everything you need to know

And they certainly let Emery and the board know how they felt about what's going on at the club during and after the match on Saturday.

There were loud chants from the North Stand as the game was coming to a close of "We want Emery Out" and "Sacked in the morning."

They are chants usually reserved for opposing fans and you know there's a problem when the home supporters are starting them.

Then there was the disgruntlement at the final whistle, despite a late equaliser to secure a point from Alexandre Lacazette.

The Emirates is not a happy place to be right now and how that changes could be down to Sanllehi and Venkatesham.
