Supermarkets like Tesco and Aldi are some of the few places that have operated at close to normal since the coronavirus pandemic began.
But with the new roadmap for Ireland's lifting of lockdown restrictions, there will be some minor changes to your local supermarkets.
Social distancing measures in stores, queuing outside, the cleaning down of trolleys and baskets as well as queues out the door are all now normal features at shops these days.
But under the the new plan there will be some minor changes to stores in the coming months.
Opening hours change
In the first phase of the roadmap it's recommended that opening hours are extended to allow more time for people to be spread out and implement social distancing.
Aldi Ireland have already changed their hours in line with this recent announcement.
A statement said: "Store opening hours had been temporarily shortened to help support staff who have been working tirelessly to serve customers and keep stores at their best every day during heightened demand."
Designated elderly shopping hours
Elderly shopping hours are already in place at the majority of stores but they will become uniform in phase two.
The roadmap says: "Designate specific retail hours coordinated across all retailers for over 70s and medically vulnerable, with strict social distancing; provision of gloves, ideally wearing face coverings."
