The Championship restart table which shows where it went wrong for Nottingham Forest

After being in fine form earlier in the season, for one reason or another Nottingham Forest never quite got going after the restart.

And a table shows how they struggled to hit their previous stride in the final nine games since June.

It is impossible to say, of course, what would have happened had the campaign not been paused for three months due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Sabri Lamouchi's Reds, however, paid the price for a stuttering run-in as they missed out on the play-offs, ending in seventh place.

Although they notched wins over Huddersfield Town and Bristol City, they were held to draws at Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County and Preston North End, as well as at home to Swansea City.

And there were defeats to Fulham, Barnsley and, finally, Stoke City in a sequence which has left head coach Lamouchi coming under scrutiny.

Luton Today have put together a Championship restart table, totting up how many points each second tier team claimed after the restart.

Here's how things stood from the final nine fixtures.
