The Champions League record Harry Kane broke to put him above Messi, Ronaldo and Lewandowski

Harry Kane has become the fastest ever player to score 20 Champions League goals, with a brace in the comeback victory against Olympiacos.

Tottenham secured their place in the final 16 of the competition with a 4-2 win over the Greek side, although the game didn't start as new head coach Jose Mourinho would have hoped.

Two early goals from Youssef El Arabi and Ruben Semedo put Olympiacos in control of the game, with less than 20 minutes played. The poor start saw Mourinho turn to his bench before the half an hour mark, with Christian Eriksen replacing Eric Dier after just 28 minutes.

A goal from Dele Alli just before half time gave Spurs hope that a comeback could be on, and Kane's equaliser after a quick throw from Serge Aurier drew Tottenham level after the break.

That goal took Kane to 19 in the Champions League.

Aurier got in on the act himself, his stunning finish completing the comeback to put Spurs 3-2 ahead with 17 minutes to play.

Kane then scored his 20th goal in the competition to put the game beyond doubt. It has taken the striker just 24 games to reach that target, beating the record held by Alessandro Del Piero, who achieved the feat in 26 matches.

The achievement have also puts Kane above Ruud van Nistelrooy (27 appearances), Filippo Inzaghi (28 appearances) and Mario Gomez (32 appearances). As well as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski.
