The Celtic 'new faces' that Neil Lennon admits have him excited ahead of Austria training camp

Neil Lennon has half a Celtic team he hasn’t even seen before who will fight for his attention in pre-season.

The manager takes his squad to Austria and Switzerland for a three-game camp to prep for their Euro qualifiers

And he’s excited to see some fresh faces.

Lennon said: “Our injury list was horrendous so it’s great to see Jack Hendry, Danny Arzani and Eboue Kouassi getting back. Maryan Shved will join us on Monday as he was away on international duty.

“And Leigh Griffiths is like having a new man in the building – he’s training well, which we’re all pleased about.

“So there are a few things I need to weigh up over the next few weeks. I’m excited.

“These are guys I haven’t seen, through no fault of their own.

"It means there’s a freshness and it’s a clean slate for them.

“The two American lads Manny Perez and Andrew Guttman, who we had loaned back to the States, may also come to Austria.

“As will Vakoun Bayo – but how much he participates after rupturing his hamstring in March we don’t know yet.”
