When Kathryn and Craig McGrath bought Carrington's former St Thomas' Anglican Church at auction in 2014, it was with the intention of turning it into a business premises.
They started renovating for offices but instead ended up transforming the church in Carrington's main street into a beautiful and unique residence.
"We fell in love with the area and the property," Kathryn said.
Their "labour of love" was completed in 2016 and the result is breathtaking.

Entry is through what was the church's vestibule which leads to open plan living, dining and a modern kitchen. The home's centrepiece is an arched window that was created by master stained glass artist John Radecki and "changes constantly" throughout the day.
A versatile mezzanine level was added and is currently set up as a library and rumpus. Downstairs are three bedrooms, including a master suite with a walk-through robe to ensuite.
There are low-maintenance gardens, a rear timber deck and off-street parking.
Kathryn has operated St Thomas High Tea to continue sharing the property with the community but ceased its operation this year due to COVID-19.
