The Cardiff City v Crystal Palace player ratings as star ends on a real low

Cardiff City were relegated to the Championship following a Cardiff City relegated from Premier League after defeat to Crystal Palace . Here's how the players rated...

Neil Etheridge - 7

Distribution still an issue but could do little about Palace's three goals. Denied Palace a few others though..

Lee Peltier - 7

Tasked with marking Zaha. Stuck to that task well but the Palace man was still hugely influential. Exit ball left lot to be desired but perhaps to be expected in circumstances.

Sean Morrison - 5

Tough afternoon for captain. Continues to miss headers in the opposition's penalty area that were regulation goals for him last season.

Bruno Manga - 6

Not an easy afternoon for Cardiff's defenders but Manga made a crucial block from Luka Milivojevic's shot and was solid throughout.

Joe Bennett - 5

Dragged from touchline to touchline by Andros Townsend. Just couldn't get close enough for the third goal when Townsend scored.

Aron Gunnarsson - 6

Last game at the Cardiff City Stadium and he gave his all as ever.

Overran by Palace's various attacking threats at times, while was wasteful in possession.

Victor Camarasa - N/A

That's probably his Cardiff career done and dusted. Shame it was finished by injury.

Hobbled off after just ten minutes.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - 7

Consistent delivery when he got past his man and had an effort blocked on the line by McArthur.

Josh Murphy - 6

Got very little change out of Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka but not for a lack of trying. Too often isolated and his point-blank miss proved costly.

Bobby Decordova Reid - 6

Quiet first-half and couldn't get in the game. When he did, he showed his class and took his goal well.

Danny Ward - 6

Victim of the service into him.

Cut a frustrated figure at times after being made to live off hit-and-hope exit balls.

Neil Warnock just did something rather strange in front of the live TV cameras at Cardiff City vs Crystal Palace

Subs:

Leandro Bacuna (on for Camarasa 10) - Wicked delivery for Martin Kelly's own goal. Otherwise looked overran. 5

Kenneth Zohore (on for Ward 60) - Missed a one-on-one when played clean through. 6

Junior Hoilett (on for Murphy 80) - Wasteful when he came, albeit at a thankless time in the match. 5
