Could maybe have done better for the goal, but will certainly be within his rights to point the finger of blame at his defence.

Did OK in the tackle and made some decent contributions. Fluffed a decent second-half chance, but otherwise a reasonable performance
Sean Morrison 8 STAR MAN
Dominated everything in the air, but was arguably guilty of ball-watching for the opening goal. Otherwise another solid contribution.
Curtis Nelson 7
Made some crucial interventions. Some nervy moments at times, but he continues to impress in this back four.
Joe Bennett 6
Made some promising runs, but struggled to find an acceptable final ball. Could have perhaps done more to prevent built-up for the goal too.
Marlon Pack 6
Worked hard, but offered precious little to get excited about in the middle of the park. Cut open far too easily for opener.
Will Vaulks 7
Much the same, although his long throw is a very potent weapon at the moment.
Lee Tomlin 6
Cannot fault his effort. Hustled and bustled throughout. Struggled to find his usual spark.
Gavin Whyte 5
Plenty of effort and desire. No end product. Hooked at half-time.

Wasn't his usual presence in the final third, but was in the right place at the right time. Tenacious again.

Ward 45 (on for Hoilett) 7 - caused plenty of problems for the Reading defence. A good impact from the bench
