The Cardiff City ratings as defender crucial at both ends of the pitch and dynamo impresses once again in Hull City draw

Cardiff City fought back twice to earn a 2-2 draw against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

Robert Glatzel and his second half replacement Danny Ward got the goals to extend the Bluebirds’ unbeaten run, but they remain without a win away from home this season.

Jonty Colman provides the player ratings from East Yorskhire.

Alex Smithies  Had little to do throughout and will have felt that he should’ve done better with the first goal he conceded.  6

Lee Peltier  Grosicki caused him some problems on his side, but he cut out a couple of opportunities.  6

Sean Morrison  His long throws and aerial presence one of the visitors’ most creative threats as the Cardiff went for a physical approach.  7

Aden Flint  His flick-on got Cardiff their last-ditch equaliser. Seconds later, he denied George Honeyman with a superb block on the line.  7

Joe Bennett  Often turned by Bowen, who made life very difficult for him. 6

Leandro Bacuna  (starman) One the best visiting players. Won tackles, contributed at both ends and created the second-half equaliser.  7

Joe Ralls  His set-pieces were the source of many of Cardiff’s best chances, but the away team were unable to convert any of them.  6

Marlon Pack  A quiet afternoon on his return to the side after missing the last five through injury.  6

Gavin Whyte  Showed glimpses of his capabilities, especially in the first half, but was often stewarded by the home defence.  6

Junior Hoilett  His dribbling and speed made for a good clash against the experienced Eric Lichaj, creativity however lacked at times. Hit the bar early on in the visitors’ best chance before the break.  6

Robert Glatzel  Not many attackers will out-muscle Hull’s Jordy de Wijs like Robert Glatzel did. Got the equalising goal through great positioning and an important finish.  7

Substitutes:

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing  Teenage defender Brandon Fleming kept him quiet, despite threatening to be the bright spark needed to change the game.  5

Danny Ward  Popped up with the winning goal when needed to. Exactly the impact Warnock would have hoped for.  6

Josh Murphy  Shutout by Lichaj and failed to get involved in his brief cameo.  5
