The likely Cardiff City team news against Blackburn Rovers as injury crisis bites hard

Neil Warnock and Cardiff City travel to Blackburn in hope of securing their first away win of this Championship campaign.

The Bluebirds' away performances have thus far resulted in a two defeats, one on the opening day of the season against Wigan and last week's convincing 3-0 drubbing by Reading.

However, the Welsh capital club will be buoyed by their midweek triumph over Huddersfield. Not only did they nick the win in the 88th minute but they turned out a much-improved performance.

The manager has been unable to name the same starting line up in two consecutive games owing to the injury trouble which has hit the club in the early stages of the season.

With Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (hamstring) and Callum Paterson (knee) again looking unlikely to be fit enough to start, Warnock might well be press-ganged into handing Lee Tomlin another starting berth and naming the same starting XI as Wednesday.

The only change, however, might see Junior Hoilett, Cardiff's goal hero against the Terriers, swap in on the wing.

We've had our verdict, have your say below.

Cardiff City likely XI : Smithies; Peltier, Morrison, Flint, Bennett; Bacuna, Ralls, Tomlin; Hoilett, Murphy, Glatzel
