The Cardiff City player ratings as substitute impresses again but frontman struggles against Sheffield Wednesday

The Cardiff City player ratings as the Bluebirds salvage late point against Sheffield Wednesday.

Neil Etheridge 5

Not at fault for the goal, but a couple of nervous kicks and flappy saves didn't instil the greatest confidence.

Lee Peltier 4

It was a tough task for him with Kadeem Harris in the form of his life. Dealt with him better in the second half.

Sean Morrison 6

Tried to implement calm and composure, but the onrushing Wednesday midfield were difficult to handle.

Aden Flint 5

Not his usual self at the set piece, with his radar slightly off. Gave the ball away one too many times, too.

Joe Bennett 6

One of the better performers, especially at the back. Wednesday's right-hand side were comparatively quiet.

Joe Ralls 5

Was a little overrun at time sin the middle of the park and was too often caught between defensive and attacking duties.

Marlon Pack 6

Tried to be at his combative best and showed many occasions where his neat feet got him out of trouble.

Leandro Bacuna 5

Taken off just after the half hour but put in a real shift before that. Was victim to Neil Warnock's tactical change.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing 5

Started to look a little more like himself. But still a long way to go to get back to his best, faded in the second half.

Josh Murphy 5

Crosses just not pinpoint enough but was much improved in defence.

Robert Glatzel 4

Too many clumsy touches, lost far too many aerial duels and missed the opportunities he was presented with.

SUBSTITUTES

Danny Ward (Bacuna 34) 6

Looked the most threatening of the City attackers and had a couple of very decent efforts saved.

Lee Tomlin (Glatzel 76) 7

Saved the Bluebirds with his beautiful free-kick. Also drew a couple of fouls with his dazzling feet.

Gavin Whyte (Mendez-Laing 76) 6

Missed one golden opportunity but also had a brilliant shot denied right at the death.
