Thrown together for new ITV2 reality show The Cabins, Sofia and Abraham have to decide every 24 hours if they want to stay a couple.
But Sofia has a shortcut to discovering her cabin-mate's intentions: listening in as he chats to his mates.
On Monday night's first episode, the pretty 21-year-old was shown loitering on the landing and balcony of the remote log cabin in which the two are housed.
She listened as Abraham, 21, told his pal: "She's beautiful with really nice dimples."
Delighted with what she heard, the blushing Sofia descended the stairs as he laughed and told his friend: "Nah, she's nice man. I don't wanna rush anything, it's only been a couple of hours."
Realising she could hear, Abraham added: "She's got very nice eyes. She can hear, she can hear!"
For her part Sofia told her friend: "We literally stayed up until half three speaking, we didn't even know how we managed it. He's just so funny he's just so easy to talk to."
When Abraham again got on the phone, he just so happened to leave the door ajar.
Sofia couldn't resist the opportunity to listen in, as Abraham told a friend: "All in all she's super duper cool. All in all it's good, I can't really complain. I can definitely see myself staying for another day."
The pair are part of a group of singletons paired up and housed in remote log cabins.
They have to decide whether to stay or go every 24 hours, and when the time comes - if they'll go as a couple.
And in a unique twist they are allowed to use their mobiles to update friends on how the dates are going.
Both Abraham and Sofia decided to spend a second day together, although Abraham did opt not to share a bed with her.
He told her: "You're very easy going and you've got the same energy as me."
As for Sofia, she queried whether Abraham - who was hugging a teddy bear - was still hung up on his ex.
"No way," the architecture student told her, insisting he could never ever see them getting back together.
The Cabins continues all week on ITV2 at 9pm.
