The Business: Protests and the battle of the generations

Protesters against tax avoidance managed to temporarily close the flagship Topshop store on London's Oxford Street this week. And as MPs prepare to vote through a trebling of the cap on tuition fees, further direct action is planned.

But will it change the behaviour of companies and the government? And does it represent a clash of generations? We hear from our expert panel.

Gregg McClymont is the Labour MP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East.

Phillip Inman is the Guardian's economics correspondent.

Matthew Sinclair is research director of the Taxpayers' Alliance.
