Aditya Chakrabortty is joined by two Labour MPs, Chuka Umunna, who represents Streatham, and Rachel Reeves, the member for Leeds West; Jonathan Rutherford, editor of Soundings journal and professor of cultural studies at Middlesex University; and the Guardian's economics editor, Larry Elliott.

John Redwood, chairman of the Conservative Economic Affairs Committee, doesn't accept the premise that the UK has been deregulated. He joins us from Westminster.

The New Political Economy Network, is a group that first met at the Guardian a year ago in an attempt to bring together disparate voices on the left in an effort to reinvigorate Britain's economy. Today marks its first publication, an ebook named Britain's Broken Economy - And How To Mend It. It aims to create an alternative to orthodox opinion, and give Labour an intellectually sound new economic strategy.
