While Christmas is set to be very different this year, people will still need to travel as they make plans to see family, go to work or do some last-minute Christmas shopping.
But if you're using public transport in Newport this festive season, there are a number of changes you need to be aware of.
Perhaps more importantly than ever, remember to stay safe while travelling this year, and plan ahead if necessary.
Here are all the changes to Newport bus services over the Christmas period.
Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) - A normal Thursday service will run, with an early finish at around 7.30pm.
Friday, December 25 (Christmas Day) - No services.
Saturday, December 26 (Boxing Day) - No services.
Sunday, December 27 - No services.
Monday, December 28 - A Sunday service will run.
Tuesday, December 29 - A normal Tuesday service will run.
Wednesday, December 30 - A normal Wednesday service will run.
Thursday, December 31 (New Year's Eve) - A normal Thursday service will run, with an early finish at around 7.30pm.
Friday, January 1 (New Year's Day) - No services.
Saturday, January 2 - A normal Saturday service will run.
The early finishes will affect the below services only:
Route 30 Cardiff - Last service from Newport bus station at 5.20pm and from Cardiff Customs House Street at 6.20pm (Cardiff Bus may differ).
X74 Chepstow - Last Service from Newport bus station at 5.30pm and from Chepstow bus station at 4.35pm.
29 Cwmbran - Last service from Newport at 6.20pm and Cwmbran bus station at 7.05pm.
Bookings for demand response transport (DRT) services for December 29 must be made by the December 24, and bookings for January 4 need to be made by December 31.
