The brutal bad beat for Boise State backers

Boise State fans — and bettors — were ready to pop the cork after a field goal with less than a minute left gave the Broncos a 23-7 lead over Wyoming on Friday.

You know, because Boise State was a 13.5-point favorite and those three points put the Broncos in position to cover.

Wyoming wasn’t going to win the game. So, all it could do was watch the time tick away. Until … from a wagering perspective.

Levi Williams found Isaiah Neyor, who did the rest to break the hearts — and accounts — of Broncos backers.

The final was Boise State 23, Wyoming 13 … but some Cowboys fans had reason to celebrate a miracle.
