The name of the book is that of a shadow monster who is believed to live in the mountains near a place called Unterberg!
The Brockenspectre is a short book but has a lot to offer. It is about a young boy called Tomas whose dad suddenly goes missing. Tomas decides to face the hazardous mountain to find his father (called Niklas) who he admires. He thinks that it is his fault that Niklas had been missing for a year. On his adventure Tomas finds out the unexpected truth about his father and why he had been missing for so long.
