The Bristol properties that had nearly 20 viewings in just two days

A property in Bedminster and one in Long Ashton have had a combined total of 36 viewings over just two days after being listed on Rightmove, according to estate agents Alexander May.

A three bedroom terraced house on Dunkerry Road in Windmill Hill in Bedminster had been listed on Rightmove for £425,000 in October.

The demand for the property was so high, the agents booked 16 viewings across two days and received six offers.

The sale was wrapped up in excess of the asking price after just a few days of launching to market.

Another three bedroom property on Fenswood Road in Long Ashton racked up a total number of 20 viewings in just two days after being put on the market for £465, 000.

Again, an offer was agreed in excess of the asking price.

But what’s so special about these properties?

According to David Powell from Alexander May, the Windmill Hill property had so much interest because it’s spacious and very well located.

“[It’s a] property across three floors, with a good amount of space for the money with the prospect of improving the interior” he said.

“It also has a great view over Bristol”.

The Fenswood Road property was so popular because of the village it’s located in.

“Long Ashton has just been extremely buoyant, more so post lockdown” David said.

“It’s also popular for schools and just a short commute into the city”.

Both Long Ashton and Bedminster have become increasingly more popular places to live in Bristol in recent years.

In March 2020 Bristol Live reported that Long Ashton parish council had set out its three year vision for the village - which includes the development of a new community library, a new skate park and further improvements to the village centre.

As for Bedminster, it’s a prime location a main bus route and has a railway station running through it.

Wapping Wharf is less than half a mile away, and Temple Meads and the city centre itself is less than a mile’s walk.

It’s so popular developers have been trying to build blocks of flats in Bedminster for years. In October it was announced high-rise housing in Bedminster had been approved despite fierce opposition.
