Bristol's best fish and chip shops have been recognised by the Good Food Awards.
The awards programme, which was launched in 2002 and recently revealed 2020's winners, has a separate category which honours the traditional British chippy and celebrates the very best when it comes to the much-loved takeaway dinner.
Chippies are ranked for the quality of their fish and chips, as well as how they compare to competitors and how positive customer feedback is.
Value for money is also taken into consideration, while each business must have top marks for hygiene to be considered.
Two fish and chip shops in Bristol have earned the honour in 2020, in addition to the six which scooped the award in 2019, along with a handful in North Somerset.
