Bristol is home to plenty of fantastic curry houses, and one of the best has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.
The finalists for the English Curry Awards 2019 have been announced and among them is an unassuming curry house in Clifton.
The English Curry Awards, now in their ninth year, celebrate the very best curry houses in the industry.
The ceremony will see the top restaurants crowned in each region of the country, with one Bristol restaurant hoping to be crowned the South West's restaurant of the year.
A spokesperson said the awards 'honours those who work their hardest to perfect every meal and provide the best possible dining experience'.

Joy Raj
Joy Raj is the one Bristol restaurant to make up the list of 10 possible winners in the South West region.
Tucked away on Clifton's Regent Street, the popular curry house prides itself on having a classic menu consisting of traditional Indian and Pakistani dishes.
It was also shortlisted for the award last year, but missed out to Koloshi in Cheltenham.
Joy Raj will be going up against the likes of Aroma in Gloucester, Spice Lodge in Cheltenham and Ruchi in Swindon.
