The Bristol areas which are almost 'Covid free'

A total of 20 areas in Bristol recorded fewer than three covid cases in recent days, the latest government data shows.

That is the same as two days ago, and compared to 13 areas four days ago.

All areas in the region are now recording infection rates below 200 per 100,000.

The news comes as covid infections are falling by up to 10 per cent every day in the South West - faster than any other region in England.

Below are the neighbourhoods which recorded fewer than three coronavirus cases in the seven days to March 7, and therefore had its data suppressed:

Where is the data coming from?

You can see the latest national data on the government's website.

The map displays weekly data, which are updated everyday.

The data can be viewed by local authority but also by smaller sections called 'Middle Super Output Areas'.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
