The Bristol area with the region's highest infection rate

Only one area in the Bristol region is now recording an infection rate above 200 per 100,000, latest government figures show.

Knowle, in south Bristol, is currently recording the region's highest infection rate (213.8), followed by Eastville (166.9).

No areas in South Gloucestershire or North Somerset are recording infection rates that high.

Looking at South Gloucestershire, Patchway (156.3) is recording the area's highest rate.

This comes as the number of areas in the city that are almost covid free rose by a third in the space of two days.

All areas in the Bristol region are continuing to record infection rates below 400 per 100,000.

Below are the neighbourhoods with case rates above 100 in the seven days up to Monday, March 1, listed in descending order:

Where is the data coming from?

You can see the latest national data on the government's website.

The map displays weekly data, which are updated everyday.

The data can be viewed by local authority but also by smaller sections called 'Middle Super Output Areas'.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
