The brilliant way that Chelsea have covered the empty away section for Ajax clash

There is going to be a unique experience inside Stamford Bridge tonight when Chelsea take on Ajax in the Champions League.

The Blues host the Dutch champions for the first time in their history, but there will be no authorised Ajax fans inside the stadium to watch the match.

The away section in west London, which is situated in the Shed End, will not be allowed to house Ajax supporters after the Dutch side were banned from being able to sell tickets for the game.

The Dutch side were found guilty of crowd trouble during their 3-0 win over Valencia last month.

They already had a suspended sentence by UEFA for a similar offence against Benfica last season, when they re-offended and were slapped with a ban and a £43,200 fine.

It is expected that 2,000 Ajax fans have still decided to make the trip to London, and a fear that some might try to enter the ground via the home stands.

However, they won't be in the Shed Lower, with six banners instead covering half of the bottom tier of the stand.

The flags read 'Keep the blue flag flying high', which covered up the majority of the empty seats.

It could be a strange atmosphere inside Stamford Bridge tonight, in what is a big game for both teams in Group H.

They both sit on six points, while Valencia have four and Lille just one after three matches.
