The brilliant gesture from Ireland fans that sums up the spirit of the 2019 Rugby World Cup

The World Cup in Japan is incredibly nearly two weeks old.

And one of the abiding positives has been the fans - whether that's Japanese fan Bak San pledging to paint his body as every kit at the World Cup or how home supporters tidy up the stands after the match has finished.

Given the humidity in Japan, it's unlikely supporters from the home nations are unlikely to follow Bak San's lead at the risk of body paint being displaced by sweat all too quickly.

But they have latched on to the latter idea - as demonstrated by Irish fans who stayed behind after their 35-0 win over Russia to clean up the stadium.

The clips of Irish supporters doing their bit was posted on ITV Rugby's Twitter page and has received over 2,000 likes so far.

Here's hoping this trend catches on.
