The brilliant Cardiff City player ratings as defenders colossal and forward wreaks havoc again at Blackpool

Dillon Phillips 7

Made a stunning save from Grant Ward's 30-yard sledgehammer of a shot, but had very little to do, all told.

Perry Ng 8

Another top display from the right-back. His link-up play with Ryan Giles really is going to be something to behold this season if the Blackpool game is anything to go by.

Sean Morrison 9 (star man)

Great to have him back from the off, didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon. Dealt with the balls over the top very well all day.

Aden Flint 9

Another big performance from the centre-back. Almost smashed one home with an acrobatic scissor kick, too!

Curtis Nelson 8

A key component of this backline who often gets overlooked but he was once again very good. Helped out Bagan when he needed it at times.

Joel Bagan 7

He's growing in confidence week on week, but he still needs to assert himself a little more on games. Was brilliant in the second half, put in some huge tackles. Booked.

Joe Ralls 8

Exactly what Cardiff needed in the middle. Displayed a lovely passing range and kicked and harried their midfielders to break up play.

Leandro Bacuna 8

Started shakily with a few bad touches and also missed a glaring one-on-one chance before being flagged, wrongly, for offside. But was on hand to head home just after the break and did well thereafter.

Marlon Pack 8

Been Mr Consistent in pre-season and has continued it at the start of this season. Was a bigger asset at the top of the pitch than we have been used to, as well.

James Collins 7

His work off the ball was tremendous. Also linked up play well when the ball was played to feet. Struggled a bit when they tried to use him as a target man and scooped an effort over the bar from just a couple of yards out and missed another opportunity later on.

Ryan Giles 9

Another excellent display to back up last week's performance. Crossing, shooting, linking up, generally just wreaking havoc down the right.

SUBS

Kieffer Moore (on for Collins 77) 8 - A lovely goal to get off the mark. Rose highest and buried his one chance. Clinical.

Will Vaulks (on for Ralls 77) 7 - Set the attack underway for Moore's goal with a stunning crossfield pass.
