Robbie Ure faces a race against time to cut through red tape and make his Sevilla debut in La Liga this weekend... because of Brexit.
The Scot completed a £8 million move to Spain after he hit 15 goals in 15 games for Swedish league leaders Sirius this season. He is scheduled to make his debut on Saturday night in the La Liga opener against Rayo Vallecano at their Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium.

But he's been left in limbo because of strict employment restrictions in Spain. Ure was unable to train with the squad in a public session at the stadium because he is awaiting a work permit to be allowed to play and train with Sevilla.
The situation is complicated because of Brexit - with the UK leaving the European Union ten years ago and work permits usually taking weeks to come through because of increased red tape.
Sevilla are desperately trying to speed up the process to allow the 22-year-old to become the latest Scot to play in La Liga this weekend.
