The Boys creator breaks down major character’s tragic death

  • The superhero satire series The Boys killed off a key character, Frenchie, in its penultimate episode of the final season, which aired on Wednesday, 13 May.
  • Frenchie, played by Tomer Capone, succumbed to injuries after confronting Homelander to protect Kimiko, a storyline that has deeply affected fans.
  • Capone, who has played Frenchie for five seasons, expressed his attachment to the character and admitted he was feeling nervous ahead of watching the episode.
  • Series creator Eric Kripke stated that Frenchie's death was inevitable, designed to be the “most heart wrenching” and provide a significant cost for the heroes to achieve victory.
  • The Boys is currently streaming its fifth and final season on Prime Video, with the final episode scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, 20 May.
