The Boots money-saving trick that could save you £150

It can be expensive buying make up and skincare products, especially if you're getting a few things at the same time.

But one savvy shopper has spotted a clever hack which could save you more than £150 at Boots stores.

Posting it on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page, the woman explained how she managed to stock up on her favourite items for just £16.

She bought a range of make up applicators, fake tan products and even some insect repellent.

The woman also managed to bag a bottle of shower gel and deodorant by Nivea, four boxes of hairdye by L'Oreal, an eyelash dying kit by Eyelure, two lip balms by the brand Crystal, a multipack of Kleenex tissues and a bottle of Boots own insect repellent.

The items should have cost £198 but came to "just over £16", the Liverpool Echo reports.

The shopper explained in her post, which has more than 450 likes and 50 comments, that she checked the Boots clearance section and made the time to look for bargains and advised other shoppers to do the same.

She expressed surprise at how big the savings were and said she hadn't managed to secure such bargains before but when items are being reduced to clear, the prices are often drastically reduced.

Boots clearance items are usually found at the end of an aisle and the items are labelled with stickers detailing the reduced prices.

You can find your nearest store on the Boots website.
