An Oprah Winfrey presidency was predicted long before her rousing Golden Globes speech on Sunday convinced many she was the person to take America out of the Trump Era.
A 2006 episode of the Cartoon Network series "The Boondocks" predicted that the beloved talk show host would win the presidency in 2020.
The recently resurfaced Season 1 episode, called "Return of the King," is a fascinating look at what the United States might look like had Martin Luther King, Jr. not been assassinated in 1968.
The episode finds King hopping from book signings to talk show appearances, but ends with social unrest culminating in a protest on the White House lawn.
"The revolution finally came," a narrator says in the episode's closing scene, as a newspaper front page flashes declaring Winfrey the winner of the 2020 presidential election.
Winfrey hasn't publicly commented on whether or not she's gunning for a political run, but best friend Gayle King said she's "intrigued" by the idea, though not actively considering gearing up for a campaign.
This isn't the first time a cartoon has predicted a presidency.
In 2000, "The Simpsons" accurately predicted that Trump would take office.
The episode, titled "Bart to the Future," featured a grown-up Lisa becoming president herself and inheriting "quite a budget crunch from President Trump."
The series poked fun at its bold guess last year with an opening sequence that featured Bart writing "Being right sucks" on the chalkboard.
