The Book of Mormon extends run at Manchester's Palace Theatre and here's how to get tickets

The smash hit musical The Book of Mormon has extended its run at Manchester's Palace Theatre.

It'll now be showing in the city from June 6 until August 10 following huge demand.

There's currently limited availability on tickets but now with these new shows fans have a chance to get their hands them.

Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, together with Avenue Q's Robert Lopez, the story follows two missionaries sent from their home in Salt Lake City to preach the Mormon religion to a remote Ugandan village.

The two young men find a notable lack of interest from the villagers, who have bigger things to deal with - such as famine, AIDS, and warfare.

The musical debuted on Broadway in 2011 and immediately won a flurry of Tony Awards, including best musical, best original score, and best direction.

The London production opened at the Prince of Wales theatre in 2013 where it has sold out every single one of its 2,380 performances to date, broken records for the highest single day of sales in West End history and won four Olivier awards.
