The popular musical 'The Book of Mormon' has cancelled its Edinburgh performances at the Playhouse, instead choosing to reschedule them for the following year.
The show was set to hit the stage in the capital this summer, with dates at the Edinburgh Playhouse from the 17 June - 4 July.
However, due to "ongoing COVID-19 restrictions", organisers have chosen to move the show to summer 2021, playing from 9 - 26 June 2021.
Ticket holders for this year's cancelled performances do not need to do anything with their booking, with the theatre stating they will be in touch regarding the roll over of tickets to 2021.
Organisers have also urged anyone who does not have a ticket for the 2021 show but would like to purchase on, to sign up for priority booking.
'The Book of Mormon' was first staged in 2011 and the musical comedy has proved very popular ever since.

The show follows a satirical examination of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' beliefs and practices that ultimately endorses the positive power of love and service
The Edinburgh Playhouse has suspended all performances until Sunday 31 May at present, however it is unclear when the venue will reopen again to the public, as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
The customer service team will be contacting all affected customers to help either exchange to a new performance of their choice or to send a full credit voucher fo the booking, including any fees.
