The Bodyguard Edinburgh: Everything you need to know about the hit musical coming to the Playhouse

The Bodyguard - a hit musical based on the 1992 Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston movie of the same name - is heading to Edinburgh Playhouse in Edinburgh city centre in July.

The tour follows a smash hit run in the West End of London, and features Brit nominee and X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke.

As well as absolutely amazing songs, the plot is as romantic as you remember, as former secret service agent turned bodyguard Frank Farmer falls in love with the superstar Rachel Marron, who he's been hired to take care of. You can book tickets by clicking here.

When does The Bodyguard come to Edinburgh?

The show will run at the Playhouse from 9th Jul 2019 to 20th Jul 2019

What time does it start?

7.30pm (matinee 2.30pm Thursdays + Saturdays)

How do I get tickets and how much are they?

Tickets start at £13 depending on your seat. The cheapest (£13) tickets are on the balcony.

Premium seats cost £62, and other seats cost somewhere in between.

Who is starring in the show?

Leading the cast will be Alexandra Burke as Rachel Marron. Alexandra will be joined by Benoît Maréchal as Frank Farmer, Micha Richardson as Nicki Marron, Peter Landi as Bill Devaney, Craig Berry as Tony, Gary Turner as Sy Spector, Phil Atkinson as The Stalker and Simon Cotton as Ray Court. At certain performances the role of Rachel Marron will be played by Carole Stennett.
