The Blazers and Nuggets had to be separated during a scuffle in final minute of Game 2

The Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets played a Game 2 that Wednesday night that was far from spectacular.

Damian Lillard and his team did what was necessary, however, to get the 97-90 win and even the series as it shifts to Portland.

Things did get a little interesting in the final minute of the fourth quarter, however, when the teams exchanged some heated words and had to be separated.

It all happened when Nikola Jokic shoved Enes Kanter into Denver’s Torrey Craig, who had broken his nose earlier in the game and fell to the floor.

Kanter continued down court where he and Jamal Murray traded words and the teams had to be separated:

While no punches were thrown, Kanter and Murray each got T’d up for their verbal exchange.

A few players, including Murray, came off the bench to take part in this but a time out had been called, so they’ll likely avoid punishment. But the NBA will likely still look into it.

But while the other series in the West has plenty of heat between the two teams, this series has felt pretty uninspiring.

Until, maybe, that happened in the fourth.

We’ll see if the emotions carry over to Game 3.
