The bizarre thing Dejan Lovren couldn't stop doing during Liverpool's Champions League celebrations

They are scenes that every Liverpool fan will watch over and over and over again.

And then some more.

Victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final on Saturday prompted an outpouring of emotion from players, staff, families, supporters and, well, just about everyone associated with the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp was given the bumps. Jordan Henderson was in tears and embraced his father Brian. Daniel Sturridge had a little dance. Virgil van Dijk was his usual pretty cool self.

What Dejan Lovren kept doing, though, was a little different.

It started when Divock Origi struck the match-clinching second goal late on.

The Liverpool bench erupted, the substitutes leaping into the air. Klopp remained pretty much calm - until he was forcibly grabbed by the top by Lovren.

Lovren was at it again as Henderson lifted the trophy into the Madrid sky for the first time.

The Croatian grabbed hold of the skipper's shirt with his right hand and that of Alberto Moreno in his left while screaming in delight.

But Lovren wasn't finished there.

When the turn came for Klopp to thrust the European Cup skyward, a clearly excited Lovren was grabbing his manager's left arm in anticipation.

Lovren had managed to calm down sufficiently a bit later on to cut a piece of the net into which Origi scored as a memento, despite UEFA officials doing their best to stop the defender.

Rarely, though, has a Liverpool player taken such a hands-on approach to post-game celebrations.
