Residents on a street in Dukinfield were left baffled after a video emerged showing a car and a van in a bizarre ‘road war’.
CCTV footage from a house shows a grey BMW and white Ford Transit approaching on Underwood Street.
One of the drivers opens his door and pops up, before getting back behind the wheel.
The two men then drive their vehicles into each other.
Tyre smoke and exhaust fumes can be seen as the car and the van engage in a strange reverse tug-of-war.

The timestamp on the video is September 3rd
The owner of the footage, who asked not to be named, said they were relaxing when they heard the commotion outside.
“I was watching TV with my son and we heard a screech of tyres, bumpers clashing and saw the smoke,” they said.
“They were gone as quick as they came. It left us shocked, but luckily there was no damage done to other cars. There were tyre marks on the road.
“I’ve never seen the cars on the street before either, but it is becoming a bit of a rat run."
The clip of the 'road war' has been viewed thousands of times on Facebook.
“That’s extreme, they could have easily passed each other,” one person said.
“Talk about overreacting," someone else said.
“To me, to you, to me, to you," joked one person.
Greater Manchester Police said the incident has not been reported.
