The bizarre moment a GMB guest mysteriously 'vapourises' during heated debate over schools reopening June 1

This is the bizarre moment a guest mysteriously 'vapourises' during an interview on today's episode of Good Morning Britain.

Hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan were left frustrated as Dr Mike Tildesley suddenly disappeared only moments into a heated debate about schools reopening next month.

While discussing how coronavirus affects children in a group web-chat Dr Mike Tildesley, of the University of Warwick, was cut off in mid-sentence - seemingly due to poor connection.

After being welcomed and introduced by the TV presenters, the professor found himself in the throes of conversation before the screen turned to black.

"But the vast majority of children have only mild symptoms - that said what we know less about is the children's role..." He said before being cut off.

The black canvas quickly cut back to the studio, where Susanna and Piers were seemed somewhat confused by what had just happened.

"What a shame, what a shame." Susanna said.

"We've actually lost everybody." Piers then added, before jokingly saying: "This is the biggest guest vapourising we've ever had."

The group debate on the show was on the topic of the Government's plans to reopen schools on June 1.

However, many teachers and parents have expressed concern and fears over children returning back so soon.

Last week, it was announced that schools in Liverpool will not reopen after opposition from the city's Mayor, Joe Anderson.
