Eager shoppers queued around the block in the pouring rain to get a first look inside Wales' 'biggest' pound shop.
The discount retailer opened its first Welsh shop, which is 14,000 sq ft and has 10 different departments, in Wrexham on Friday, October 11.
One Below, which has been set up by the original founders of Poundworld, opened its very first 'super store' in Wrexham creating 20 retail jobs.
And as it opened its doors to the public, people were lined up down Regent Street in the rain, waiting to get in and grab a bargain.
The shop will stock 8,000 products across 10 departments, with brand chiefs saying the shop will be the biggest pound store in Wales.
The new brand is being financed and launched by father and son retail entrepreneurs, Christopher Edwards and Christopher Edwards Senior.
They were the original founders of former high street retailer, Poundworld Retail Limited before it was sold to American private equity conglomerate, TPG Capital in 2014.
However, the group collapsed into administration in the summer of 2018.
Many former Poundworld staff who lost their jobs in Wrexham, have been given new employment at the new store.
Christopher Edwards, managing director of One Below Retail Limited, told North Wales Live : “We’re excited to launch our first One Below super store in Wrexham with our biggest range yet. I think customers will be pleased with the number of incredible deals we are able to offer for under £1.
