Jordan Rakei

This year's multi-venue Simple Things festival takes place on October 19 and once again brings an eclectic mix of acts to the city, with a wide range of genres represented. Highlights of this year's lineup include Harvey Causon, Melt Yourself Down, Biig Piig, Nilüfer Yanya, Squid and many more.
Hot Chip

Brimming with colourful melodies and pounding electro-pop rhythms, Hot Chip's live performances are always special. Fans can expect to hear old classics and new material from their latest album, A Bath Full Of Ecstasy.
Little Simz

Following on from two critically acclaimed albums and collaborations with the likes of Gorillaz and Kehlani, the prolific Little Simz released her highly-praised third album GREY Area in March 2019, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
AURORA

Proving once more that she is a creative force to be reckoned with, Aurora follows last year’s surprise release with her third album, A Different Kind Of Human. This summer the Norwegian star wowed crowds on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury, as well as a number of other major festivals.
Portico Quartet

Mercury Prize-nominated Portico Quartet are back to showcase songs from their new album Memory Streams. Pushing their cinematic sound to new heights, the four-piece from London blend jazz and electronica to create beautiful ambient minimalism.
Metronomy

Electro indie-pop group Metronomy are going on tour this autumn to mark the release of their latest album, Metronomy Forever, which features hits such as Lately and Salted Caramel Ice Cream. They're another band who most definitely know how to put on a show when playing live.
Ghostface Killah

As one of the leading members from seminal NYC rap ensemble the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface is widely seen as one of the greatest MCs ever to bless the mic. His intricate wordplay creates and conjures vivid stories from the grittier side of street life in New York’s Long Island and beyond.
Whitney

Whitney, the Chicago-based band led by vocalist/drummer Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek, will embark on their first major tour since 2017 this autumn. These dates mark some of their largest headline shows to date.
Elder Island

Bristol-based electronic trio Elder Island will play the biggest show in their hometown to date at Motion. The trio consists of singer and cellist Katy, bassist and beats maker Luke Thornton and guitarist and synth wizard David Havard.
Professor Green

British rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and television personality Professor Green is coming to SWX this autumn, armed with the huge list of tracks he's released over the years including Jungle, I Need You Tonight, Lullaby and Read All About It.
Lewis Capaldi

Just a year on from his debut live shows and young Scottish singer-songwriter, Lewis Capaldi is now set for the biggest headline performances of his career. The tour follows the release of his long-awaited album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent , which includes the top 10 singles Grace , the UK number one Someone You Loved and Hold Me While You Wait , among several previously included on Capaldi's EPs. Expect plenty of belly laughs mixed in with the music.
Ezra Collective

Pioneering the new-wave of jazz music, Ezra Collective are the award winning London-based band born out of Tomorrows Warriors UK organisation for jazz music. With differing influences and tastes, their music brings together a range of different sounds and their live shows get everyone moving.
Quantic

For nearly two decades Will Holland, aka Quantic, has been making inventive and forward-thinking electronic music. His music crosses borders and embraces his own love of travel, bridging gaps across cultures and genres.
Sigrid

Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid continues her ascent to the top with her biggest headline tour to date. Following the release of her widely-hailed debut album, Sucker Punch, in the spring and a support slot with George Ezra, these shows will be the cherry on top of an outstanding year for the rising star.
Barney Artist

After years of graft, the world is finally waking up to the 27-year-old rapper who, alongside a crew of his peers, is one of the most exciting young musicians in London right now.
Wasuremono

When: December 7
Wasuremono is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist William Southward, who meticulously creates and records the music in his shed studio. Initially a solo project, William enlisted friends, Madelaine Ryan and siblings Isaac and Phoebe Phillips, to complete the live band. They are definitely a band worth keeping an eye on.
The Libertines

When: December 16

The Libertines, comprised of Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall and Gary Powell, are reforming to perform at nine venues in December 2019, including Bristol's O2 Academy. After forming in 1997, the band had a string of huge hits soon after the turn of the millennium, which earned them a huge following. Expect a rowdy affair.
