Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is celebrating his 38th birthday today - and he's a player a lot of Evertonians will have mixed emotions on.
The midfielder was absolutely a fantastic player for the Blues, first joining the club in January 2005 from Real Sociedad on loan before making the switch permanent the following summer.
And the Spaniard quickly became one of David Moyes' most important signings for the club in his tenure as manager, producing moments of sheer brilliance to boost Everton further and further up the Premier League table - and help his side in Europe too, of course.
However, Arteta left in controversial circumstances in 2011, making the move to Arsenal on deadline day leaving the Blues without a replacement.
The midfielder enjoyed a number of successful years at the Emirates Stadium before retiring from the game and taking up an assistant coaching role at Man City under Pep Guardiola. He became a manager in his own right when he joined re-joined Arsenal earlier this season.
