When every event and gig we had planned was cancelled in 2020, we all assumed that things would return to normal this year.
As time went on we soon realised that this would not be the case. Some events that were postponed to 2021 have been pushed back to later this year, with most rescheduled for next year.
And some have sadly been cancelled.
Many organisers have now revealed rescheduled dates which we have rounded up for you. And we will keep updating this list as we know about more events.
Music
Dua Lipa
Dua's Future Nostalgia tour was due to come to Cardiff in June 2020 at the Motorpoint Arena. This was then pushed back to January 2021 before moving the date to later this year. However, it was recently confirmed that the tour will now take place in 2022.
Original date: June 7, 2020 then rescheduled to January 19, 2021 and then September 15, 2021.
New date: April 27, 2022
Stormzy
Stormzy will perform in Cardiff as part of his massive world tour.
He was due to perform at the Motorpoint Arena on April 20 after the original date in September last year was postponed.
The date in April, was rescheduled again but there's no date in place.
A personal note from Stormzy said: “My G’s - please rest assured, touring the UK & Ireland is incredibly important to me and I can’t wait to give you all the shows you deserve.
"The new tour period will be announced as soon as it’s safe for all involved. In the meantime, I am working on new music and I can’t wait to share it with you. Please stay safe and thank you for your continued patience and support. Love Stormz.”

Little Mix

Little Mix announced exciting details of a new headline UK and Ireland arena tour for 2021 last year.
However, due to the pandemic, the band's Confetti tour, which was due to start in April, has been pushed back to next year.
They were originally expected to go on a summer tour last year, performing at Cardiff City Stadium which was cancelled.
It will be the band's first tour without Jesy Nelson who left the group at the end of last year.

Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow is hitting the road with a full orchestra on his 'Music Played By Humans' tour.
He’ll bring to life songs from his latest album as well as hits from his incredible, three-decade spanning career.
Joining him at the Motorpoint Arena on December 5 is X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
Original date: June 7 & 8, 2021

Craig David
Craig David has rescheduled his Hold That Thought Tour for a second time.
The British singer will be at the Motorpoint Arena in Spring next year.
Original date: April 13, 2020 then rescheduled to April 14, 2021

Pet Shop Boys
The much-loved pop band of the '80s were due to bring their Dreamworld greatest hits tour to the Motorpoint Arena on May 25 this year.
Instead the band will perform next year.
Original date: June 3, 2020 then rescheduled to May 25, 2021
New date: May 24, 2022
Rammstein
German metal band Rammstein were initially due to perform at Wales' biggest venue - Principality Stadium - in June 2020 but that was postponed by a year. Now it's been pushed back to 2022.
The original gig would have been the band's first appearance in Wales for 15 years and their popularity in the country was made obvious when tens of thousands of tickets were snapped up in summer 2019 within hours of going on sale.
The band have a reputation for dramatic stadium performances containing fire and pyrotechnics.
Original date: June 14, 2020, then rescheduled to June 16, 2021.
New date: June 30, 2022
Jess Glynne
Due to the ongoing Covid restrictions the Jess Glynne gig Cardiff Castle has also been moved to 2022 with all tickets remaining valid for the new date.

Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie has confirmed that he will now perform in 2022 for his rescheduled ‘Hello’ summer tour dates. Originally scheduled perform at Cardiff Castle in Summer 2020, then 2021.
However, the international superstar will be at the castle on Thursday June 2, 2022. All original tickets remain valid for the new date.

New date: June 2, 2022
Michael Buble
International superstar Michael Buble will now be returning to Cardiff to play the historic and iconic Cardiff Castle in 2022.
Original date: August 5 2020, then summer 2021
New date: July 20, 2022
Bryan Adams
Bryan Adams' concert date has also been pushed back to 2022. The hit singer's Cardiff Castle gig was originally due to take place this summer.
But now organisers have confirmed the gig will go ahead next summer.
Original date: June 27, 2021.
New date: July 11 2022
Nile Rodgers & Chic
Nile Rodgers & Chic won't be performing at Singleton Park, Swansea this summer as the big outdoor gig has been postponed again until 2022.
Organisers say that the date has been pushed a year due to the 'ongoing situation' and that all the tickets will be valid for this new date.
Disco-funk legend Rodgers & his band, Chic, are no strangers to Wales and played Cardiff Castle in 2019.
Original date: They were first due to perform at the Swansea venue on July 31, 2020. This was then pushed back to July 30, 2021.
New date: July 29, 2022
Gerry Cinnamon
Gerry Cinnamon concert at Cardiff Castle will now take place next year.
Original date: May 30, 2020, then June 5, 2021
New date: June 5, 2022
Catfish and the Bottlemen
Singleton Park will shake to the sound of rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen later this year - providing Covid restrictions allow.
The north Walian outfit has moved the date twice.
Original date: May 23, 2020, rescheduled to May 29, 2021
New date: September 4, 2021
Pussycat Dolls
The Pussycat Dolls gig in Llanelli has been permanently cancelled after organisers failed to find a suitable new date for the rearranged show.
The American all-female group were originally due to perform at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday, July 4, last year but the concert was postponed due to the pandemic.
It was hoped that it would be rescheduled for this year but it has now been confirmed that it will not be going ahead as a "suitable date couldn't be found in the band's schedule".
Fans who had tickets for the concert will automatically receive a full refund. The band were also due to perform in Cardiff at the Motorpoint Arena. The dates have been rescheduled several times but a new date hasn't been confirmed yet.
Let's Rock Wales
Let's Rock Wales was due to be held in Newport's Tredegar Park in June but the music festival's organisers have announced a new date in September.
The retro music festival, which first came to Wales in 2019, is set to bring '80s stars including Adam Ant, Kim Wilde, T'Pau and Chesney Hawkes to Welsh shores.
However, the date has now changed again, with the news that the one-day festival is to be postponed until next summer.
Original date: June 4, 2021, then September 18, 2021
New date: June 4, 2022
Runs
Cardiff Half Marathon

The Cardiff Half Marathon has been rescheduled to a new date in 2022, in its third postponement.
It was due to take place in the capital on October 3, but organisers have announced it will now run on March 27, 2022.
Organisers Run 4 Wales say the decision has been made over "uncertainty" on social distancing rules.
Swansea Half Marathon
The stunning race along the Swansea coastline will hopefully go ahead on October 17, 2021. This race was due to take place in June 2020 but was pushed back to November 2020.
It was then planned to go ahead June 13, 2021 but organisers hope the race will be able to take place in October this year.
The Newport Marathon

The date for Newport 's annual marathon has been pushed back until the autumn, its organisers have confirmed.
The ABP Newport Wales Marathon and 10K, scheduled for Sunday, April 18, has been delayed until October 24, 2021.
The event had already been pushed back from 2020, but will now be delayed further into the autumn.
Other events
National Eisteddfod
The National Eisteddfod has announced that the 2021 event, which was due to be held in Ceredigion in August, has also been postponed until 2022.
The aim is to hold the Eisteddfod in Tregaron from July 30 to August 6, 2022 moving the Llŷn and Eifionydd festival to August 2023 , and then visit Rhondda Cynon Taf in 2024.
Royal Welsh Show
The Royal Welsh Show will be held virtually again this summer.
The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society announced at the start of the year the cancellation of May’s Smallholding and Countryside Festival and the postponement of Clwyd’s Feature County Year and the Royal Welsh Show until 2022.
Organisers are hoping a Winter Fair can be held in December.
